In just a few days the results of the mid-term elections will be known.
Change is coming.
Although the transition and peaceful realignment will be difficult, due to what has become the mantra of those that lose elections now, eventually the courts will uphold the results, and the winners of the Congressional seats will be sworn in.
Unfortunately, the change most will vote for won’t immediately take place, nor occur upon the swearing in ceremony.
The damage to so many aspects of the nation that has taken place, and will still attempt to be wielded, will take a long time to remedy.
Costs of items that affect affordability will not immediately be reduced. Nothing will soon reverse backward to “the good old days” – before this administration or even before the Covid epidemic.
Our traditional friendly relationships with once allied countries will not revert back right away. The damage done to those relationships will take years to fix.
Once the investigations and hearings expose the current administration wrongdoing and levels of corruption that have taken place, some will feel a sense of relief and justification.
Those that sat idly by, saying nothing and doing nothing, to stop what will be exposed – cannot go unpunished. The easiest way to do that is to vote them out of office and never allow them to be elected in the future.
It has been said that the next few years may even be worse than the past few. On the surface, that could happen if we allow it to.
Once Trump gets all of his accusations about election fraud proven wrong again, and he realizes that Congress is no longer a whipping boy for him to bully around, he will attempt to govern via executive order and use the power of veto to stop legislation from passing, and the power of pardon to keep the bootlickers from facing the justice that they deserve.
Some will be charged with violating the Hatch Act, rightfully so.
Some will face impeachment, rightfully so.
Presidential pardons will be given and the Supreme Court will most likely support the use of them and allow those pardons to stand.
Most of the behavior and use of the Presidential pardons was not really thought of 250 years ago. The Constitution was created with the ability to change things as needed. Amending it is needed, we have seen how certain aspects of it has been abused.
Eventually, this too shall pass.
Historians will have a field day documenting and sharing those that allowed the worst to happen during their watch, and did nothing to stop it.
Be patient and trust in the Constitution, and those that believe in it.
