There’s something happening here
What it is ain’t exactly clear
There’s a man with a gun over there
A-telling me I got to beware
Masked men shooting people on the street.
For what? Civil disobedience, resisting unlawful orders?
Really? This is the appropriate solution?
There is something terribly wrong going on.
Live Streaming a military firing squad shooting a guy to death.
Where are we? Who does that?
Why? Exactly, what is the point?
Do you actually think that live streaming this will cause things like what happened – to not happen again?
Perhaps, if the goal is to avoid reoccurrence there are more civil, and far better ways of doing things.
Was the incident a planned attack, or did the military guy just loose his mind one day? Or doesn’t that matter? He did the crime, he was found guilty. Now he must die.
Either way, “live streaming” his death will not deter it from happening in the future. I’m not sure that I understand what Pete is hoping to achieve.
Is this his way of showing that he is “the man in charge”?
“We’ll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public, because people need to understand that there’s serious consequences for these types of things,” said Hegseth.
I guess he must think that dying by firing squad as a consequence isn’t understandable enough? Really?
Yes, the military guy was found guilty and sentenced to death. And, like JDVance stated – I will not tune in to watch it happen live.
Some will argue, if you don’t want to watch, then don’t watch.
The reality will be that with cameras everywhere and social media allowing people to share just about anything they want, the footage of this execution will leak out.
That is inevitable.
Live streaming a firing squad executing a guy is unnecessary and barbaric.
But, so is attempting to kill a person by lethal injection…and failing.
I, for one, am glad the execution of death sentences are not “live streamed”.
I think it’s time we stop
Children, what’s that sound?
Everybody look what’s going down
